Marriage Counseling and Couples Therapy
Let’s face it, relationships are challenging. Relationships bring two separate and different people together, and develop into a couple. This is no easy task. I like to say that when it works, it’s possible for each of you to be better together than you would be apart.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been together for decades, from time to time relationships can get stuck in their development. Something is getting in the way of accessing your potential as a couple. I will help you find out more about where you’re stuck and provide you with tools that can get you back on track.
I’ve worked with a wide range of problems when it comes to couples and communication problems are probably the most common. As part of couples counseling, I will not only help both of you to send clearer messages, but also to be better listeners.
Let’s talk for just a moment about affairs. They happen and the results are painful. We will work on the pain and learn more about what happened in the relationship. It takes some time, but it’s possible to end up with a relationship that’s better than it was before the affair.
One of the many reasons I like to work with couples is because when you work on your relationship, you are also working on yourself and a better you is good for everyone in your daily life. And that is especially true if you have children. You can consider the work that you’re doing as an investment in their future.
